Terms of use

The rules for using codr.tools. Plain language, and short on purpose.

Effective 20 September 2026

Who these terms are between

codr.tools is operated by coredump OÜ, a private limited company (osaühing) registered in Estonia under Estonian Business Register code 17488193, with its registered address at Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia. It is referred to below as "we" or "us". By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.

The service

The site offers free developer utilities that run in your browser. There is no account, no subscription and nothing to pay. We may change, add or remove tools, or stop offering the site, at any time and without notice.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be available, uninterrupted or error free, or that any result it produces is correct or complete.

Check the results before you rely on them

These are convenience tools. Output may be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your case, particularly for anything involving security, cryptography, identifiers, money or personal data. Verify anything you intend to use in production, and do not treat what a tool says as legal, security or professional advice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the site to break the law, or to process content you have no right to process;
  • attempt to interfere with the site, probe or test its security, or gain access to any system or data you are not meant to reach;
  • place unreasonable load on the site, including automated scraping or bulk requests that degrade it for others;
  • misuse the contact form, for example to send spam, malware or abusive messages;
  • remove, hide or interfere with advertising, or with the notices and attributions on the site.

Intellectual property

The site's design, written content, and the code we wrote for it belong to coredump OÜand are protected by copyright. Nothing on this page grants you a licence to copy or republish them, other than the ordinary use of the site in a browser.

Parts of the site use third-party open source libraries under permissive licences. Each one is listed, with its version and licence, in the project's README under "Third-party libraries", and those licences govern that code, not these terms. Names of standards, formats and products mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively.

Your content

Whatever you type or paste into a tool stays in your browser. We do not receive it, so we claim no rights over it, and you remain responsible for it. What you send us through the contact form is covered by the privacy policy.

Advertising and external links

The site is funded by advertising. Ads are served by third parties and their content is not ours; we do not endorse what they advertise and we are not a party to any dealing you have with an advertiser. The site also links to external documentation and standards. Those sites are outside our control and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business, arising out of your use of the site or your reliance on any result it produces.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the effective date above shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, and disputes arising from them go before the courts of Estonia, with Harju County Court as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live, and you may still bring proceedings in the courts there.

Contact

Questions about these terms go through the contact form, or by email to contact@codr.tools.
